The Greenwood School is an amazing school. As we raise our children in the 21st century a stong environmental education is essential. The Environmental education program is amazing. The schools values are aligned with the programs. It is a 'green'school with recycling, composting, organic everything. They honor Universal spirituality and educate the soulfulness of the children through nature. They have a wonderful gardening program, an award winning Poetry program. The students at Greenwood School have won the 'River of Words' poetry cotact multiple times. The students at Greenwood School spend a day a week out in nature using the environment as the classroom for learning. They have a strong stings program throughout the grades. I highly recommend this school
My oldest son graduated from Greenwood school and went on to do great in a private college prep HS. He is now University of California. My youngest son is at Greenwood in the 7th grade. He is thriving in the learning environment that puts science via Greenwood NEST (Nature, Environmental Science) program in the forefront of the curriclum.
Greenwood School is a wonderful environment. We have three children in the school, all very different personalities, and they are all thriving and happy. The faculty is remarkable. I cannot think of any better place to send my children for their elementary education.
Fantastic Waldorf-Inspired school. A beautiful environment for children. Music, art, drama are a focus. Learning becomes fun for the children and their natural innate curiosity is able to flourish. A Love of Learning is deveoloped for life. This school has had a very positive impact on our entire family. We love it.
