My kids enjoy Arcadia. They do not teach Spanish more than English. They actually have a very good literacy program that helps Spansh speaking children learn English, as well as challenges English speaking children. The principal, teachers, parents and students all make up a great team at this school. I have been invloved with this school for many years and I have been very pleased with all of the policies, procedures and the ways they have handled situations with my children, as well as others. Some people seem to think that because this school is primarily Spanish speaking children that they must be teaching at a lower level, but that is absolutely not the case.

My children attended Arcadia most of their young lives and each year has been a traumatic one. They focus more on teaching Spanish than english. I enrolled my children in Alexander Elementary in Greenville SC, where I saw an immediate change. There grade point average went from C's and D's to honor roll. Arcadia really needs to rethink what they're doing.

This school was not a pleasant experience for my child there isn't any discipline or structure and few rules in this school. Children are able to do as they please at lunch, on the playground and in class. They wasn't able to give my child the confidence of knowing that there was an adult there that could be trusted.
