This school is the best of the best. Mrs. Stanley is enough reason alone to enroll my children for all 8 years. I can not believe this woman has not received some kind of medal for the students she has taught. This is an environment that is very reminiscent of the movie 'Little Man Tate' and the children are proof in itself that this school produces the goods.

Carden Academy is a wonderful school. As said by other parents the building is not new and there is not a science lab. However, year after year students have placed in Honor's Science at many schools. I know last year in my son's class out of the thirty eighth grade students 27 placed at least in Honor's Geometry. Fifteen placed in Honor's Science, and 27 placed in Honor's Literature at Mater Dei, Cornelia Connelly, Sage Hill, Edison, Marina, and Fountain Valley High. The teachers care and the administration care about the success of all children. If the parents actually take time to let the staff at Carden know there is a problem they will do their best to fix the problem.
Carden Academy is a WASC School. Carden Academy of HB has credentialed teachers, classrooms of approximately 20 students per class. The average SAT tests per class are in the 90% and above. The original school was built 50 years ago. The most recent building is 1984, newly carpeted and recently painted. The interaction between teachers and students creates an environment of stimulation and learning. The Computer lab of 30 stations allows all students in the private school to work in the lab 2-5 days a class. They learn to type quickly, write reports, research the Web and create power points. A nurse is not on staff, however procedures are in place to take care of normal bumps and bruises. All parents are easily accessable as needed for bigger concerns. The H.B. library is just a few blocks from Carden Academy. All classrooms are fully equipped with at least 200 library books.
