Great school, i'm going to attend there next year. When i shadowed i loved it so much. All of the students were so kind and sweet, and all of the teachers seemed to be very nice and welcoming! I think both the teachers and the students work very hard & only want whats best. This school is just as good as any other school. It's a good environment for kids to grow up in and its almost like college, because you go for a major and i think that's a very smart idea. They are preparing the kids for college, and when you graduate from there you get a good recommendation. i think all of the highschool kids in erie should go to this school!
It would be a good school if the teacher challenged students more. The teachers don't push for success. It's sad but true. That is why the dropout rate is 1/4 at Central. It is a very big problem that the administration chooses to dismiss. Its going to come back and bite them. The school is a good environment. Good kids (for the most part). But the Faculty and the Administration need to push for more success. And buckle down on discipline.
What a great improvement in the school. After the change from academic to Career and Tech the school has soared. The students are positive,the teachers and administration are working for the best interest of the students. Now with the adding of an honors program there is a waiting list to attend. The only problem I see is that school for student that struggle academicaly has been placed in the far wing of the building. Althought seperated fron the Central Tech students the public believes that these are Central Tech students when they have problems.
Great School, the new Principal has made it a joy for families and studens are appreciated. The increase in honor programs, community service projects and career programs are a great match.
