Faifield elementary is the best place on earth for your children, the teachers are the best there can be and the Fairfield community with all the families is a very special place for any child to be.

Fairfield is a small rural school of 60 students. The school requires a minimum of two hours per week from each family in the form of a permanent position. This means every parent should know every child and the family atmosphere of the school is unique. Students from beyond the rural area are chosen through a lottery, in other words, parents choose to drive out to F.S. because of its special program. The school offers a gardening, cooking, and science program that is well beyond district k-3 programs. The school is diverse ethnically and socioeconomically. Parents often have a very difficult time adjusting to a standard elementary school after Fairfield, but kids do just fine. The teachers are especially gifted at seeing the needs of each child, and adjusting curriculum and activities to meet those needs. They say Fairfield School 'Is Davis' best kept secret'. I have had children in 3 other Davis elementary schools and must say that Fairfield is special.
