FDR Has a great staff that is very helpful. My child 1st year in Kindergarden. The PTA needs more parent involvement with all the buget cutbacks. The teachers are warm and caring and devoted of our children's educational goals and needs. I'm glad as a parent to be part of a school who loves and needs parental involvement. Together we can make a great diffrence and a child one at a time to enjoy and really like being at school.

FDR has the potential to become a great school, but as with all schools, it is what the parents and staff make it out to be. The teachers my kids have had have all been dedicated teachers who know the curriculum well. There are lots of oportunities for parent involvement through the PTA and in the classrooms. My kids really like it there, but I think that parents need to take a more active role with their children's education at this school.

FDR is a good school. My children's teachers have been creative, welcoming, and attentive to my children's needs. The academics are average to excellent - depending on the teacher. There is a lot of opportunity for parent involvement, if desired. Reading is emphasized throughout all grades with an incentive program. Music, art and extracurriculars are available on a limited basis. The principal is very committed and an excellent advocate and resource for students and families.
