Each teacher and assistant I have dealt with is dedicated and caring. The school office staff are wonderful as well. My daughter is thriving and challenged by her teachers and looks forward to school every day. I am grateful to the teachers, Principals, and staff of Cesar Chavez Community School.

My daughter is in kindergarden, and receives homework nightly. I have some issues of when the kindergarden class has their lunch time. I am not so concerned about negative attitudes from her teacher. My daugther, and I have never experienced anything negative from the school. We are looking forward to another year at Cesar Chavez.

This is a very poor school in terms of achademic level. Usually my daughter doesn't bring homework and she brings something is not even at the first grade level in which she is, is more like kindergarten level. I guess is not the school or teacher fault but the whole NM schools which are one place before last nationwide. Shameful.

My daughter's first impressive years of education and her interest in learning are throroughly thwarted at the kindergarten. I asked the teacher if she enjoyed teaching, she told me she hated it. After I audited her class for two days, I know why she complains of stomach aches and headaches that don't really exist. The teacher and assistant teacher are languaged to the english only class, of which there is one and they imprint unto the students negative languaging. 'You don't want to sit there, you don't want to do this (or that)' and worst yet is telling a child to go home if they don't want to learn. If I could afford a private school, I would. If I could arrange for afterschool care more conveniently, I would arrange for another school to attempt to remove the first year negative experience.
