The student ratio listed for Miller Early Childhood Development Center is not 33-1 it is in fact 24-1 with only a few of the classrooms at that number. It is such a fine school that every year about 100 out of district students start there educational experance there.
Creativity is encouraged at Miller and the teachers are creative in all kinds of ways. This is not cookie-cutter teaching. The parenting programs help parents establish a great foundation as they start the school-age years too. And you have to love the extra-curricular programs like the Science Fair!

I was nervous sending my 5 year old to Miller but through the course of the year I realized that the school staff know kindergarteners: what motivates them, what reaches them, what they find interesting. My child was in excellent, caring hands from pick up to drop off.
My son attended Miller. It is the only kindergarden school in the Brighton area. Too bad the elementary school he attends is not close to providing the positive learning experience he remembers from Miller. Kay Nicholas is a FABULOUS principle and administrator. Perhaps, other principles should learn from her how to be better administrators. There's love at this school - love for teaching, love for kids. Bravo Mrs. Nicholas! There's an old Greek saying..'If the head of the fish is rotten, the whole thing is no good.' Unfortunately, this is what we experienced at our elementary school. We're keeping our fingers crossed for Middle School.
