The school needs to review what they teach our kids. It seems to me that this school is way behind others. My daughter is a very smart 7th grader bu I don't feel this school offers much to her. I have nieces, nephews and friends kids who are way ahead of her as far as what their learning. My duaghter is 7th grade and doesn't know how to do a book report. Why? Because they haven't been taught that yet. I have a friend whose daughter is in 3rd grade and they are doing book reports. My friend who is a teacher in Missourri has her 3rd grade students doing book reports too. Why isn't BV South doing the same??? Some of the work they are doing this year was taught last year; especially in Science. What does it take for the school to get back on track?? Change now!

Out of all the teachers that I have encountered at the school during the 6.7th and 8th grade that my children attended the school I would say that only abou3 to 5 of them are nice, most of them are sarcastic and rude and when you try to talk to them over the phone about your childs grades or behavoir they try to talk to you as if you are one of their students. I have had to call to the school and ask the teacher why would she holler at my child because that is something that I do not do at home and I tried to talk to her in a adult manner but that did not work went to the school to talk to Mr. Trelow he was very non-chalant about it because the teacher had already mentioned to him about it before I had a chance

I agree with this parent. I have a hard time with what some of the teachers teach our children. There are only a few that I feel are doing their jobs. My son says that his Science teacher makes them retake tests to get a better grade. For us, that is teaching our child that there are always second chances in the future. My son said, 'When I get a job and mess up will my boss give me another chance?' Or they go over what is exactly on the test right before they take it. Of course our kids will get a good grade. What ever happened to studying the night before and taking the tests the next day??? I am appalled at the academics of the Belle Valley Districts. Teach our kids what to expect when they get older! Shape up for our kids!

Academically I feel the school is lacking the basics. Our son is in the 5th grade and lacks alot of knowledge in several subjects. For example, when is book reports going to be taught? My son says they get A's because all their tests are Open Book Test. They look in the book for the answers and receives A's 99% of the time. Why are they being taught certain Science Topics(Rocks and Minerals) for two years in a row? Three times within the two year period. I personally, teach my son things at home because he feels he isn't learning much at school. I am glad he recognizes the lack of the schools teachings.
