I totally agree that this is a great school. However, I can honestly say that it is not because of the office staff and the principal. The principal is disengaged and not supportive of parents or her staff. My second grader had a good year because his teacher was willing to go the extra mile.His first grade teacher was the same, ven when she went on maternity leave she left well thought out lessons.

Fairwood is dedicated to children, providing extra curricular programs and tutorials. We think the new principal has exhibited stellar leadership and has shown the ability to improve programs. Mrs. Joslin has high expectations and standards of her students and her staff. Some staff and families have commented that she is willing to make difficult changes that are difficult for some to handle but her changes are good and focused on the best interest of children. She supports the teachers. Our first grade son has enjoyed this year.Any child would be lucky to attend this school with such a caring staff.

Very high quality of academic excellence. A Project Help Safety net school, also Title 1 tutorials. This school offers something for everyone. My child's First Grade teacher was fantastic. She was very creative and even organizes a school carnivale every year.

This is a top notch school with great teachers. Very much a family atmosphere with high standards.
