My son has attended the Alliance Academy for the last two years. He comes to this charter school from another charter school, Meadows Choice after spending 5 years at Toledo Public Schools. I would highly recommend both of these charter schools. My son is high functioning Autistic and in the public school environment was just a number. He was not learning anything and it was a struggle to get him to go to school. At the Alliance Academy, he is treated as a person with small classes and lots of individual attention, is at the top of his class academically and loves to go to school. I am hoping this school stays open throughout the rest of his high school career. Because of the Alliance Academy, I can see my child attending college and having a productive adult life.

This has been a wonderful experience for my daughter. She has excelled more than she would have if she attended TPS. I can not express the emotions my daughter and her friends talk about when it comes to this school. They wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The school is brain based learning, where the students learn at their pace. Students and parents pick classes like in college, and take breaks every quarter(oct, jan, apr, jul)While there isn't much extracurricular activities, they add new things every year. The teachers are wonderful and caring.
