I am a 1978 graduate of Althoff catholic and currently have a sone attending as a freshman. Though I have to admit the public schools in town probably can offer a comperable if not better academic experience, other factors make this school awesome. At freshman orientation meeting, Dave Harris said 'welcome to the Althoff Catholic family.' A family it is. The kids are very close as are the parents. The level of parent involvement is second to none. Moreover, I feel my son will prove to be an outstanding citizen becasue of the school.

As a graduate of Althoff Catholic High School with young children I know that I will definitely be sending my boys there when the time comes if it stays anything like I know it is now. Dave Harris is a wonderful educator and the perfect principal for that school. The faculty is truly involved with so many activities and seem to really care about the students. My sister and my cousin recently graduated from there and I know they got so much out of their experience at Althoff.

I am a former student at Althoff Catholic High School. I did not perticularly enjoy attending Althoff. My parents were paying close to $5,000 for average teachers, and a Catholic education that is poorly exibited throughout the school. Religion classes were a joke. I learned more studying by myself. The teachers did not set a very good, Catholic/Christian examples, and they were the ones teaching the religion classes! The teachers were not very involved with their students while I was there. If I didn't understand something, I would have to teach myself. The extracurricular activites are lacking, basically because the school did not have the money to fund them. Parents want to see the school succeed, so that's a plus. All in all, Althoff would not be my first choice when looking at high schools in the Belleville/St. Louis area.

I am a former student of ALTHOFF i think that it is agreat school to attend, although it has its ups and its downs as any other school. By going to this school it kept me out of trouble, if i wouldve gone to public who know how i wouldnt ended up. But also i believe that if a student really wants to learn, any school is a good school. When i tested at my former college, other students from public schools tested the same as i did. I think that it all depends on the person. But overall Althoff is great. The teachers really help you out in work. The counselors help you with college seeking. Everyone is just really nice. I felt like home there. I know that if i wouldve gone to public school, i would have been moew worried about what i wore to school than academic
