AUGS is a good school. There are many caring teachers and administrators. I have 2 children in AUGS. Their needs have been more than met and challenged. There is ample support if you need it. There is a strong anti-bullying campaign present, with special speakers who exemplify the importance of character in a person. For example a holocaust survivor came and spoke to the kids. I have been a volunteer, and also worked in this school as a paid employee and have attended the district's school improvement program last year. I know that with the limited budget this school operates on they are doing an outstanding job with the resources they have.

I love this school it teaches you great responsibilities and is fun we do things i wouldn't ever imagine doing in school such as a dance every other Friday call TCT . I have gotten better grades over the years just being with district 34 they also have 10th hour which teachers stay and help you with your work it's a truly wonderful school and i haven't had to stay 10th hour because i didn't understand anything. I stayed to hang out with my teacher!the teachers are so nice but don't do anything that will make them turn into the meanest teachers

augs is one of the greatest school in the world. and if u think that teachers dont pay attention to the kids they do.how would u know that they dont. their constantly watching wat u r doin. and they have cameras all ovr the school to be safe and locked doors..the teachers are really nice in all grades if u dont like the school. then move and never come back all teachers r very sweet to the kids. and they keep the school clean their are some teachers their that i will never forget. i fell proud to be going to antioch upper grade school !!!! i woouldnt change it for anything

The review below is exactly how I see this school today. It's embarrassing that when I reveal where my kids attend Jr. High, I get a look of 'too bad'. I completely blame the current leadership for not taking action on some very poor teachers. They just don't care. In 4 years, I've found 1 teacher there that's worthy of teaching. The rest are just paying their dues until they can get into a better district or have tenure and waiting to retire..In the meantime, the kids are truly suffering.
