I love Helms. This is my daughter s 4th year there & all I can say are positive things. My child perform everything thing a normal child would at this age, in two languages, in some areas, more. It impressed me that her teachers began helping her in problem areas as a preventative measure. Teachers didn t wait for the problem to persist. No, there aren t extra curricular activities; what elementary has them? Helms goal is to educate the whole child. This includes concentrating on helping students succeed in the three R s, science and social studies well as. At the same time, Helms educates its parents so that he/she can help his/her student as well. It is unrealistic to want Helms to participate in EVERYTHING and still keep the same level of excellence in learning. Helms parents are involved. There are different levels of involvement, but the opportunity is there.

This is my daughter's firs year and i love this school because it has a lot of activities and parent envolvement. I love the fact that is a dual program!I love the Avance Program so organized

Our school is like a family. They are very concerned about our children both in the classroom and out. We have a great PTA that supports the school. The Dual Language program is excellent. It is exactly what our children are in need of in this day and age - Spanish fluency. I considered moving my child to another school because she is sometimes resistant to the Spanish, however, I really think that the benefit of becoming fluent in Spanish outweighs the resistance. The environment of the school as a whole really keeps us going back every year.
