Great School my girls vocabulary, knowledge, and skills is advanced compare to other kids. Friendly community and staff members. Highly recommend Harvard Elem.
Harvard is a great school. But I am very involved in the school... if you expect your child's school to be great, you need to commit to making that happen. Harvard has a College Bound Culture program, a strong math, science and technology program... the library is fantastic and the teachers are very concerned and caring. The PTA works very hard to fulfill the needs of the students and faculty as well as the needs/concerns of the parents. The Principal has done a great job of creating and communicating a vision for the school. In 2008 the school was rated 'exemplary' and a named a Blue Ribbon school. Harvard is now working on its IB affiliation. It's the dedication of the staff AND the parents that make Harvard a great learning environment for its students.
My daughter has been at Harvard for four years now and will definitely finish out her next two. The school has had many changes throughout the years,but has always maintained its excellent academic structure. The parent involvement is great,but I wish there was a little more support for the arts (music,art,theatre,etc.)
