The Principal discourages parent involvement in academics or extracurricular activities. She prefers you bake cookies and chaperone field trips only. Academics are geared entirely toward CMT prep. Expect lots of CMT worksheets. Oh, and mind numbingly stupid but time consuming 'projects' where kids can discover their own knowledge. Plan on hiring a tutor if you want your child to learn anything. The loss of the gifted program means the bright kids are bored. But they do well on the CMT and that's all that matters anymore.

Our oldest two children have attended Wells Road School, and we have been very happy with the quality of education. The teachers are excellent, and the small class size is a bonus too. Since the remodeling in 2005, Wells has a good library, computer lab, cafeteria, and sports field. The principal is involved and always present, and the office staff is the best we've ever dealt with.

Wells Road Int. School provides supportive teachers and an engaging academic program. Class sizes run between 22-25 students, however, there is usually an assistant teacher available as well. The music program has been a source of enjoyment for my child, she has a lesson once a week with three others. There are sports offered through the town for a fee. Parent involvement is always encouraged in the school and at home as well!
