Jin-A Childcare Center is a wonderful example of what a school/day care should be. My children have been attending the school for a couple of years and I love their programs. Jin-A promotes nurturing and educating our children through their hearts, minds and bodys which speaks of what a truly loving environment it is. I am in love with their facilities as well. You drive up the hill to get to the classrooms/office and you can see the NYC skyline from there. You can also see some wildlife on any given day and that is also used to teach the children about their enviroment and surroundings. They keep constant care of the the school and have continuously tried to improve not only their curriculum but their facilities. The director and teachers are great as well.

My son felt loved at JinA and they instilled a love of learning in him. He did so well in kindergarten that we sent him on to first grade at the New Hope School. I can't think of another word to describe the teachers and the curriculum except wonderful. He learned phonics, math and was reading at the end of kindergarten(as were many of his classmates). We transferred to the neighborhood Clifton public school in May of grade 1. The curriculum in first grade in the public school was equivalent to the Jin-A kindergarten curriculum. The gifted word is being thrown around and I don't necessarily buy into that. What a calamity that would have been if his entire class had transferred to public school!. The grounds and play areas are idyllic with lots of areas to play. Unlike public school,in winter, they bundle up and play outside. He misses that.

The school environment is a 'little kingdom' set up on a hill surrounded by nature. It has a great play area with swings etc... and a supervised pool in summer. Teachers are wonderful, dedicated, and care for children as their own. Moral education and a respect for all religious beliefs is emphasized. I sent two of my children for 5 days and now am sending my 3 year old for two days. The parent teacher meetings are excellent - really informative and concerned for the children - not just a coffee and donuts clique.
