It is what you expect out of your child--We have found the Summit Program to be extremely adventageous to the higher learning of our child. We expect him to put as much effort into his studies as well as his athletics and his behavior. We have a no tolerance policy in our home so why should any school have to coddle students or parents that do not want to follow school policies. There are plenty of choices out there so find a school that fits your needs and desires. The new Principle @ Bancroft is doing her job very effectively and efficiantly. Maybe you cannot volunteer at the school but it is our job as parents to make sure our children not only follow the rules, but want to follow the guidelines. Realizing that respecting their teachers will help all of our children to receive a quality education.

This school hasn't been successful in teaching their students, keeping their teachers. This school as many other have lost the ability to teach outside of the statewide testings. How many times must a parent converse with teachers/counsolers/principals and see see any action? It's been two years for my child and that's rediculous.

Saying a school is terrible or great depends on the individual. Bancroft is a good school with a few wonderful programs. However parent involvement is very low. Most of the the time parents want to complain about lack of activities. There are few parents who help in any way. My view is get involved in the school. Show your children that you care by being there to support their teachers and administrators. In the last two school years we've had changes in our Administration so welcome back and check us out. Our Art and Computer classes are very good. We have new disciplinary actions also which encourage our students to behave. We are also a uniform school where our children must comply with our uniform policies. Every school has a few 'bad' children but don't judge all the kids the same. Most of ours are great.
