Not much improvement since new principal came. He is from a military background and does not seem to understand the needs of an all female environment. Although regular meetings with parents group occur nothing ever really changes. Academics could be more challenging and many free's in schedule. Some do not take gym or health because not enough students to form another class. No transportation for players on teams. Driven by either students or parents. Not many college courses offered nor AP classes. Looked at the Mt St Dominic should have gone there instead since this school does not deliver what it promises.

Overall curriculum is lagging. The small size is NOT exactly a positive. LIMITS the number of teachers, courses, classes and extracurriculars. Will have the same teachers for most subjects every year which is a limiting high school experience. Will result in a whole host of social problems due to class size. New administration has been slow in admitting problems and unresponsive to certain issues. Many have experienced phone calls being answered or acknowledged unless repeated calls are made. Small size does not always mean total immersion nor guaranteed mastery of academics. Daughter still needs tutoring which begs the question why is this not being addressed in school. Some sports and courses have been dropped during new administrations transition. Enrollment is on the decline.

Everyone has their own opinion. This school is terrific I'm very pleased with the teachers and Mr Morgan and also Mrs. Mazzari they do a wonderful job. A little ldiscipline doesn't hurt. Some people takle things the wrong way. Great school to all the staff and teachers keep up the great work that you do
I think Lacordaire secondary division has very good academics and a caring nurturing enviornment. The teachers for the most part really seem to care about the students as well as the administration. It does seem that there are some clicks among the students, and that can be frustrating for some that do not thrive in clicks. This goes on anywhere however, but perhaps more emphasis on inclusiveness toward all students could be implemented someway. I think myspace and texting have not been a good thing for our teens, they need to realize that what they post and send is for all to see, and can send a very negative image for them and their school. These are things all schools, and especially parents need to be aware of and address. To me though, Lacordaire is a productive and safe enviornment for our girls, much better than the public school system!
