With recent reassignments in the positions of superintendent, HS principal, and athletic director, I am more excited than ever for my children to be students at Alba-Golden. All of these men are very fine men of high moral fiber. Most of the teachers are at A-G because they love our kids. As in most schools, unfortunately, there are also a handful who need to retire or find their true calling. Our students perform well on state testing in both Language Arts and Social Studies; scores are improving in Math and Science. Our Fine Arts program is growing and my daughter now has the opportunity to learn both Spanish and French. Kudos to Superintendent Dwayne Ellis, High School Principal Michael Mize, and Athletic Director Bill Thomas! I thank God for you because I know my children are in good hands.
I being a current attending student, admire our teaching staff. for the most part they all will go out of there way to help and assisst us in any way. I am proud to say that I go to Alba-Golden Isd!
I graduated from A-G a few years back near the top of my class, received a full academic scholarship to a top university, then struggled because Alba-Golden does a horrendous job of preparing kids for the real world. Block scheduling blew my mind. My recommendation - have nothing to do with this school, don't send your kids here.
