I am a first year parent and EBI and have been very impressed at this year's level of organization and dedication to family involvement in all the activities the school offers. I am very happy with the teachers and their warm and kind spirits, as well as their music and art programs. I would recommend improving the teacher/student ratio in aftercare and having less school breaks to accommodate families with parents that with full time jobs.
This is our third year at EBI and I have to say, it has ARRIVED. The new head of school is amazing, and the school - which was really good to begin with - is now exceptional. Great teachers, great energy, great communication. And I feel like the teachers truly know and care about my child and will do everything they can to help him succeed. As a sensitive kid with some learning challenges, I can not imagine having him at any other school - the support we receive is unparalleled.
EBI's situation is still green, but the amazing teachers, the great parent participation and the fact that they are bringing a new head of school with an International resume promises a brighter future. Vamos EBI!
EBI is a new school with associated challenges. We need flexible parents at the moment. We faced some tough realities this year. The generous financial aid and low tuitions made it extremely difficult to offer compensation packages that were competitive enough to attract and retain the numbers of quality bilingual teachers we needed this year. Chronic staffing shortages led to a lot of instability. The board has made some hard decisions, raising tuition and discontinuing the half day program to address this issue for next year. The strength and energy of the overall school community has largely sheltered my child from the problems and I truly believe this school will soon be one of the best schools in the area.
