Both of my children made honor roll. They love the school and the teachers. They are thriving. I am amazed how well they have learned phonics. It has all come together in a really great school. Highly recommended without exception.
I taught at this school for 2 years. It was a wonderful experience to work with such a dedicated, intelligent, knowledgable, loving, caring, group of educators. If I still lived in Tucson I would be delighted to send my children there!
Gallego has a challenging curriculum and is focused on making the most of the actual education of the child. They focus on phonics based instruction for reading, writing and spelling. Gallego is the host for the gifted program for elementary age children within the Sunnyside district. This school has an emphasis on encouraging students to become leaders and it provides a foundation for hard work and achievement. This is the best elementary school in the district.
