I appreciate the uniforms myself ; and my Husband. We experienced how positive the out come is years ago with our older children. I don't think parents know how much focus is put on outer appearances with our young ones.I don't want that to be the topic of the week for my child at school. I also want to say Great Job Mrs. Lackey 3 rd grade.
My daughter started at Heard-Mixon in kindergarten half way through the year. I thought it was going to be a very difficult time for her but it wasn't! I wasn't happy with the uniform policy at first and I'm still questionable about it, but it actually helped her. When she was at her other school the girls talked about what everyone 'had' to wear to be 'in'. So of course she came home a lot asking for some kind of special clothing. Since she was at Heard-Mixon we haven't had that problem once! Sometimes it is a pain to find the 'right' things for the uniform, but luckily they aren't horribly stricked. Another thing I haven't liked is I always feel like I'm forking out money everyday for her to participate in anything going on at the school. I'm a single mom, but her education comes first.

My son is in special needs preschool and so far I love it there. I love his teachers, they are wonderful. I could,nt be happier
