i have been in this school for 8 years, and i have to tell you it is the best school in Newark. The student, teachers, and staff are all friendly and they are always there to support you.

I attended Ann Street school for 9 years and graduated in the class of 2004. Ann Street School has been one of the most memorable times in my life and it was definately the school for me. National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Ann Street will continue to prosper because Ann Street in the best elemenatary school in Newark New Jersey!

Ann Street School has an excelent reputation for it's academic programs. The overalla atmosphere is one of high sxpectations and gentle nurturing. I am somewhat concerned about the availability of diverse experiences, not just for the 'minority' students but overall. In a small section of Newark, many I met at this school were misinformed and full of fear about cultures other than the ones represented at Ann Street. I do not think this is premeditated, just the result of isolation by teachers and other staff to true cultural diversity (vs. images and stereoptypes perpetuated in movies and TV for example. Prent involvement at this school is to be commended! Parents realy get the connection between a good education and success in the future and they also know that the staff at Ann street school are dedicated and sincere.

I am currently an Ann Street student in eighth grade and I am getting ready to take the GEPA. Mr. Maccia has excellent expectations for his students to succeed. Ann Street School is the best school I've ever been to and I hope that it will continue to be the best school. I am proud of Mr. Maccia and his faculty.
