Great potential, but watch like a halk! PHS just finished its fourth year and second graduation. We had three principals; this year there's another. Disorganization acceptable the first couple of years, but no excuse after that. Newsletters with little meaningful communication (usually late). Parents not told about occurences (even with own child). Ditto academic options. Have to fight for what's fair. Squeaky wheels don't get grease: gotta scream bloody murder. Security is tight and tolerance is low - too much so. Good students overly restricted due to problems of the few. 'Consistency' resulted in suspension for minor offenses. Restrooms were kept locked. Some wonderful, caring, experienced teachers/admin, but too many who don't care or don't know how to overcome the bureaucracy. Most 'middling' students don't get the help they need to do better. Good clubs, sports, music, drama, PTA. Parents must be pro-active! Don't assume teacher/admin knows/does best and all's OK.
