My daughter just graduated from KHS last June. She was on the school newspaper, which is one of the best, and is now a journalism major at Mizzou. I can't say anything bad about KHS. Whatever your child needs, they get. Whatever they want to do, they can.Dedicated teachers who love what they do, and a wide variety of extracurricular activities to choose from. It was a great experience for all 3 of my kids!
Kirkwood HS is a great balance of supporting develepment for all students and for allowing encouraging participation in sports and clubs and other activities. We moved to Kirkwood for the schools and so far are very happy with what we have experienced. The leadership is top notch and cares about the students more than anything. This is very good and somewhat unusual in public schools. The music and arts programs are exceptional. The athletics program is wonderful too. So much for the kids to do and participate in. They don't have time for mischief!
I have two teenagers currently enrolled at Kirkwood High School. My two daughters have opposite interests and hobbies and Kirkwood accomodates both of their personalities. The teachers are top-of-the-line and give 100%. The business department is outstanding and has sparked my daughter's enthusiasm for advertising. I believe Kirkwood is the best school in St. Louis county.
