Springfield City School District
Know your school choice options in Ohio.
In Ohio your child can attend any school in your district (called intradistrict choice). The state also has an open-enrollment policy that allows students in low-performing schools, as designated by the state, to attend other schools in their district. And districts must enact a resolution determining whether they will admit nonresidential students to their schools (interdistrict choice). Ohio offers private-school-tuition scholarships to students in Cleveland and autistic children statewide. The statewide EdChoice Scholarship Program allows children who attend low-performing public schools to transfer to private schools.Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher performing school in the district.
