I have never been so pleased with an elementary school. My daughter just completed 5th grade and her brother will be in 1st grade. The faculty staff is wonderful. The GT program is great!

great teachers! great principal, great PTA, lots of parent involvement overall it is a great school.

A new building, a new administration, lots of refocused energy. Becoming again a solid neighborhood school. Ratings are NOT the entire story here, because they are unfortunately based solely on low performance by a just a couple of students in ONE disadvantaged group, who didn't pass ONE specific TAKS test (something really stupid about ratings criteria that VERY few people ever learn about or really understand!). Great art, several kinds of performance music, really good science nights and interesting campus wide events like Renaissance Fair and Student Business Fair. My kids both graduated from it, doing really well in Vanguard middle school.

The overall school is good. The only thing that is bad is dropping off or picking up your child hopefuly when the new school is done it will be better.
