About the Tests

• In 2007-2008 Wisconsin used the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination - Criterion-Referenced Tests (WKCE-CRT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in math and reading, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in language arts, science and social studies.
• The WKCE-CRT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin.
• The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

• ACT scores range from a low of 1 to a high of 36. The Composite score is an average of the English, math, reading and science scores.
• Scores represent results for students in grade 12 who took the ACT as juniors or seniors.
• Because of changes in state enrollment collections in 2004-2005, participation rates for the graduating class of 2005 should be interpreted with caution.
