About the Tests
- In 2006-2007 Alabama used the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) to test high school students in
reading, math, language, science and social studies.
- High school students must pass the AHSGE in order to graduate.
- The AHSGE is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade
by the state of Alabama.
- The goal is for all students to pass the test.
