Clayton County School District

Know your school choice options in the Clayton County School District.

In the Clayton County School District (CCSD), students can attend their neighborhood schools or charter schools. High schoolers can attend a magnet program for the arts; the application deadline is in late October. They can also take online courses. Gifted education programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students. CCSD has alternative schools for at-risk students.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
