Know your school choice options in the School District of Palm Beach County.

In the School District of Palm Beach County (PBCSD), you can attend your neighborhood school or one of the many Choice Schools with different themes—art, technology, dual language, Montessori -- that students can apply to. Most accept students through a lottery. The deadline for Choice Schools is in mid-December. Students with special needs may be eligible to receive a McKay Scholarship to attend a private school. There are also charter and magnet school programs available.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as “in need of improvement” have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district
