TAKS
This number shows the percentage of students that met or exceeded standards on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test in spring 2011. The TAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. Students must pass the grade 11 Exit Level TAKS in order to graduate from high school. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

To compare schools, GreatSchools uses grade 4 math, reading and writing results for elementary schools, grade 8 math, reading and science results for middle schools and grade 10 math, English language arts and science results for high schools.
