Parent and Community Support
- We have a Parent Advisory Committee that meets quarterly or more often as needed. Parents help with hosting a semi-annual Career Fair. Parents also help when the school hosts large statewide culminating events. Parents assist with the opening of school, provide meals for staff on teacher conference days, and assist with other school events as needed.
Other news or notes
- Cody High School initiated the LINK Crew program to help freshmen transition to high school and eliminate bullying. This program is very successful. With the 2008 -2009 school year, 1-1 laptop computer program was initiated in grades 9-11. With the 2009 - 2010 school year, every student will have a laptop. 1-1 inservice has been provided to staff. In the Fall of 2008, a Project Based Technology program focused on pre - engineering program was initiated will be further developed.
Annually, a group of our students travels to Andros Island to study marine biology.
The staff at CHS is committed to every student, every chance, every day.
With our form of Block Schedule, students who demonstrate the ability and initiative are able to accelerate through the curriculum and then enroll in online courses, concurrent enrollment courses, or graduate early and enter post-secondary education.
