Uniforms required: UNIFORM POLICY
DSHA uniform clothing can be purchased at The Uniform Place which is located at 811 North 68th Street, 258-7888.
The uniform consists of the following:
- A skirt: Each student must have a skirt; it will be mandatory apparel on specific days.
- A shirt: Burgundy, blue, or white polo shirt, short sleeved or long sleeved, with the DSHA logo embroidered on the front.
- A sweater or sweatshirt: A long sleeved uniform blue or burgundy sweater with the DSHA logo from The Uniform Place, or the navy blue hooded sweatshirt with the DSHA logo, purchased from SalesSmith, Inc. is to be purchased and worn on cold days.
- A pair of tan khaki pants also purchased from The Uniform Place
Optional uniform pieces to be purchased only at the Uniform Place:
- A burgundy or navy blue zippered cardigan sweater with pockets and the DSHA logo (worn over the uniform shirt)
- A navy blue v-neck cardigan sweater with the DSHA logo (worn over the uniform shirt)
- A navy blue crew neck pullover sweater with the DSHA logo
- A navy blue light weight v-neck pullover sweater with the DSHA logo
- Tan khaki shorts. Shorts may not be more than four inches above the knees. (Shorts may only be worn from April 1-November 1.). |

School Mission
- Divine Savior Holy Angels High School is a Catholic college preparatory high school that excels at preparing young women intellectually, spiritually, and personally. Sponsored by the Sisters of the Divine Savior, DSHA is committed to pursuing its mission in an environment that fosters an awareness of a loving God and promotes the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

- Girls sports: basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, rugby and ice hockey.
- Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: Student Congress: The Student Congress is comprised of a government of six Commissions, designed to meet the needs of the DSHA student's whole person. The Special Events, School Pride, Student Ambassador, Student Welfare, Communication, and Policies and Practices Commissions, comprised of both peer-elected and TSC-selected members of all grade levels meet regularly to plan events and activities and institute policies that will enhance the DSHA community and provide a positive experience for DSHA students, concentrating on both the leaders' and the student body's growth in the Qualities of the Graduate. Grades 9 -12, no cost; Campus Ministry Council: The Campus Ministry Council strives to realize the mission of Jesus Christ within our school community by providing the student body with various opportunities to bring their faith to life. These opportunities include education on social justice issues, all-school collections and service projects, individual volunteer experiences, and opportunities for prayer and reflection. Student leaders and those who are involved in this club realize the great impact that a small group of committed people can have on the world around them. Grades 9 -12, no cost; Sisters of Culture: The purpose of Sisters of Culture is to celebrate the ethnic backgrounds and cultures of the DSHA community, and to reach out in service to younger students in the larger Milwaukee community. Grades 9 -12, no cost; Math and Engineering Club: The Math and Engineering Club is a group of girls that are interested in the mathematical sciences as applied to engineering applications. Club members strive to develop solutions to interesting projects with the intent of being competitive within the group, but also to compete in outside competitions such as the Rube Goldberg competition. The Math and Engineering Club makes problem solving fun. Grades 9 -12, no cost; Student Recruitment: Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are recommended and interested in participating in DSHA's recruitment program. These recommended students visit area grade schools as student recruiters, serve as guides at our annual Open House, and act as DSHA representatives to junior high students. Members attend a training workshop in August and an Open House training session in October. No cost and Liturgy Preparation Club: Liturgical Prep club seeks to engage young people in the “source and summit” of the Christian life, the Mass, by encouraging their participation in its planning. This club meets to plan parts of the liturgy and prayer experience for the whole school community. It provides opportunities to engage in scripture, brainstorm themes and activities for the liturgical seasons, write prayers of petition, and PRAY together. All faiths are welcomed. Grades 9 -12, no cost.

Parent and Community Support
- Parents are key members of the DSHA community and important partners in much of the work done through the school on behalf of each student. In addition to individual volunteer activities, three organizations provide opportunities for parents to meet and work together.The Parents Association, Parents Athletic Association and Parents Fine Arts Association invite parents to become involved by supporting these organizations with their time and voluntary dues. Dues are $25 per association.

- 750-seat Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre with orchestra pit, backstage area, and full-fly loft. Also includes a classroom/rehearsal area, scene shop, dressing room, technical control room, box office, storage, and office space. - The Quad, a spacious dining room/commons area featuring round tables. - Center for Visual Arts includes three state-of-the-art classrooms offering facilities for commercial and recreational art. The Haggerty 3-D Art Studio, painting and computer graphic studios, and dark room house classes in ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, computer and graphic design, as well as general art.
- Gymnasium and physical education facilities: The gymnasium is used for physical education classes, practices, as well as WIAA volleyball and basketball games. An outdoor softball field is used for practice as well as WIAA softball games. There is also a weight and conditioning room.
- Library facilities: The Marie Esser Hansen Library Media Center is open from 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. each regular school day. The collection consists of 11,000+ books to support curricular needs as well as recreational reading /
1,900+ AV titles in videos, tapes, laserdisks, etc. / 33 periodical subscriptions and more than 4,000 via the Internet / 1,000+ vertical file (pamphlet file) folders for research materials

DSHA is committed to providing outstanding college preparatory Catholic educational opportunities to qualified students regardless of a family's financial circumstances. One-third of families qualify for some need-based assistance and the average award is $3,580.
The amount of aid is determined upon careful evaluation of a family’s financial situation. Numerous factors, including income, number of children, amount of tuition paid at other schools and utilities are taken into consideration. This information is provided by completing a Financial Aid Application.
DSHA Grant: Renewable awards ranging from $500 to $8,000.
Sisters of the Divine Savior Scholarship: Renewable scholarship of half-tuition based on financial need, overall middle school achievement, and extracurricular and service participation.
Milwaukee Parental Choice Program: Renewable voucher for tuition, fees, and textbooks for families who live in the City of Milwaukee and meet the program’s income criteria. DSHA generally holds its open enrollment period for the Choice program in February. Applications are available February 1.
Scholarships
Merit Scholarships: The Divine Savior Holy Angels Incoming Freshman Scholarship Program strives to recognize academic achievement, demonstrated talent and leadership skills achieved by young women.The awards range from $150-$1500 (with an average of $250) and are granted on a one-time, non-renewable basis. Merit scholarship applications are available in January.
Centennial Scholarships: May be granted to a student based on her middle school academic performance and a score in at least the 99th percentile on the DSHA entrance exam. This award is in the amount of one-half of the annual tuition and is renewable. Eligible students are notified by DSHA.
Matching Scholarship Program: DSHA may match scholarships awarded to a student by another Catholic high school in the Milwaukee Archdiocese. Verification is required. Scholarships will be matched at the discretion of DSHA.
