Dress code Uniforms required: Mt. View has a standard school attire. Our students wear solid colored shirts in any shade of blue, green, red, yellow and white. Pants, shorts, skirts and jumpers are blue, black or khaki casual dress style. Jeans of any color are not allowed.

School Mission
  • Our mission is that our students be committed learners, master academic skills and demonstrate strong social skills.

Curriculum
  • Bilingual programs in Mt. View is an ELL (English Language Learner center. 38% of students have a second language background.
  • Special education programs designed specifically for students with autism, serious emotional disturbance, language or speech impairment and specific learning disabilities.
  • This school has a particular instructional focus on hands-on learning, project-based instruction.
  • Physical education is required for the following grades: K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
 
 
Instructional Program Highlights
  • Each student in grades 1-5 have the opportunity to take TKD as part of our Physical Education Program. 21 first degree black belts, 2 second degree black belts.
  • Renaissance kids is a traveling musical recorder group. They have performed on TV, in festivals and several public venues.
  • All students have the opportunity to be in a musical production each year.
  • All 5th grade students receive a career, vocational unit that is culminated with a trip to Biz Town where they run a city for two days.

Activities and Sports
  • Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: TKD select clubs at each grade level; Select chorus for each grade level; Band 5th Grade; Guitar club Grades 3-5; Drama and theatre Grades 2-5 and Kindergarten SMART program for all Kindergarten students.
