Advertising Operations Manager
The Advertising Operations Manager is primarily responsible for administering the daily operations for GreatSchools' online advertising business. This position involves working closely with the Ad Sales team to implement online advertising campaigns and to manage available ad inventory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with ad sales team to deliver flawless campaign management, including the execution and full delivery of all contracted ad campaigns
- Manage and check available inventory based on client proposals
- Ensure timely posting and successful upload and delivery of online advertising campaigns
- Track the status of all insertion orders from time of receipt to campaign launch
- Proactively monitor, analyze and optimize performance in the delivery of ad campaigns, including the selection and delivery of ad networks for excess inventory, so as to maximize overall revenues
- Forecast inventory based on traffic and ad position run rates

Experience/Education/Skills Required:

Director, Partner Relationships
We are now expanding our reach and impact with the College Bound Initiative, a new program targeting low and middle income parents that will provide structured online and offline training, mentoring and community resources to unlock the power of parents in guiding their children's success in school and beyond. The Partners for this initiative will play a pivotal role in both defining the product offering as well as ultimately acting as distribution partners. Key Responsibilities:

Newark, NJ Project Consultant (part-time, temporary role)
GreatSchools provides quality educational information to Newark, NJ parents. This project, a part of the GreatSchools Local Initiative, brings comprehensive, audience-appropriate material to Newark parents to help parents choose the right school for their children and support their children's educational success.
The GreatSchools Newark Project Consultant will work to bring these resources to Newark, NJ parents. Most work will be conducted from Newark, NJ; however, occasional travel to the GreatSchools San Francisco, Milwaukee or Washington, DC offices may be necessary.
It is anticipated that this part-time, temporary project will run from now through January 15, 2010. During this time, we may require some periods of full-time focus. Overall day to day timing is mostly flexible. There may be the possibility that this project extends beyond January 15, 2010. A determination will be made then
This role will report to the Director of Local Programs, who is based in Milwaukee, WI.
Project Objectives:
- Produce and distribute the first edition of the Newark School Chooser and its Spanish equivalent.
- Work with the GreatSchools product team to ensure that a Newark launch page on GreatSchools.net is visually customized to meet the needs of Newark families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Enhanced School Profile (ESP) information is collected and current for Newark schools
- Build and maintain relationships with all individual schools and school entities (e.g. Newark Public Schools)
- Localize to best support Newark parents and caregivers information and resources designed to help parents guide their educational decisions and support their children's education (e.g. the GreatSchools Chooser guide in English and Spanish, any tools created to help parents become more involved in their children's education)
- Liaise with San Francisco Office to keep information resources current and relevant
- Determine distribution venues and develop a strategy for delivery
- Manage a project budget
- Monitor the project and report as necessary, by completing accounting, human resource, and other administrative-related reports
