GreatSchools.net created the Grade Tracker to help parents understand if their children are learning key skills at each grade level. We selected these skills from among those listed in learning standards that Education Week rated as the most clear and specific in the nation. They do not include all the skills taught in each grade.
Use the Grade Tracker as a general guide to skills your children should learn in each grade and as the basis for discussions with your child's teacher. Your child may learn some of these skills quickly and may struggle with others. Each list of skills represents a full year of learning, so be patient.
