"It may be fun and games for the younger students of creative arts but middle school was an extremely diassapointing experience for us ththere was a lack of support from the principal in behaviorial issues. Teachers coming and going constantly in middle school. Out of control kids and the uninvolved parents. My child learned very little at that school during middle school and had to transfer in order to get a better education. It entailed a lot of catching up in order to get to the correct grade level. I would not recommend this school."

"I've toured and visited many other schools over the years as a parent and professional and thus feel compelled to write a review specifically around the Director at CACS. I am thoroughly impressed with her for being compassionate, knowledgeable and accessible all the while being a very strong advocate for each and every child. She seems to know and relate to each child, see their strengths and works to develop productive relationships to help them feel safe and successful at our small school. I firmly believe she sets a wonderful tone for our school as she mentors staff and confers with parents. I appreciate her vision and high standards and look forward to her leadership each day."

"As a CACS parent I take issue with the previous review. Parents are asked to be goodwill ambassadors for the school. It's called peer community outreach and traditionally it's one way all schools get the word out and increase diversity. Second, there are major funding issues at all California public schools these days. Third, the board at CACS is made up of hard working parents, faculty and community members who commit to giving freely of their time and talent in an efforts to make CACS the best possible school for all it's families. School behavior issues are quite frankly no more or less out of the norm for children these ages at any similar school. The way in which teachers and staff handle them is exceptional. Check Great Schools, CACS is 45% white/ 55% non white about the same as Miraloma and many other S.F. schools. Big clique "

"My son has been at Creative Arts for 3 years and is thriving! We feel SO lucky to be a part of this unique community that is so enthusiastic and devoted to teaching in an interesting and engaging way. The teachers are solid, the board is committed and the parents are a really cool group of people. I feel certain we will be able to weather any storms ahead and become one of SF's most sought-after schools. "
