Parent and Community Support
- Kilmer has a PTO that works to provide quality programs and activities for students. The PTO conducts several fundraisers throughout the year to support cultural arts programs and classroom supplies, technology, field trips, classroom magazines, evening activities and special requests from teachers. Parents and community members also tutor and help teachers with special projects and activities.
Other news or notes
- I would welcome anyone considering moving into the Kilmer community to come and visit! The Great Schools ratings don't even begin to show the quality of education at Kilmer. The 2007-08 ISAT scores include English Language Learners who are still receiving support to improve their English skills (per No Child Left Behind) and who aren't proficient enough to take grade level exams - for fair comparisons, please look at schools with similar demographics. More importantly, visit us to see the high quality of instruction and education, the respect and the warm environment Kilmer is known for.
