School Mission
- The mission of Ashford Park Elementary School is to elevate student success. School, home, and community will collaborate to meet the individual needs of the learner to assure high student achievement.
| Curriculum |
- Special education programs designed specifically for students with language or speech impairment, specific learning disabilities, limited intellectual functioning and multiple disabilities.

Instructional Program Highlights
- Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. We have an Accelerated Reading Program that promotes independent reading.
- We follow the science curriculum with hands-on activities in the Science Lab. We are in the process of developing an Outdoor Classroom.
- Students build skills in our state-of-the-art computer lab. We are in the process of installing a closed circuit TV system.
- Our students participate in our C.A.M.P. (computer, art, music, p.e.)program throughout the week.
We bring in cultural arts presentations to broaden student interest.

- Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: National Junior BETA Club; Safety Patrols; Honors Chorus; Band; Academic Bowl Participation and Citizens of the Month Wall of Fame.

- Ashford Park offers excellent diversity with Causaian, Hispanic, and African American students. We also have a Japanese exchange teacher who teaches Japanese culture. Our teachers are excellent and have all taken a High Achievers course to keep their skills sharp. APE is a small school nestled in the middle of the neighborhood and the best little secret in Brookhaven.
