School Mission
- Carl Sagan Academy is profoundly committed to the belief that all people can, and do learn. The school's purpose is to provide a comprehensive educational program to support, encourage, and nurture children and their families in the community area in ways that increase their options and opportunities to participate more fully in society. Carl Sagan Academy views its responsibilities as advocating the merits and expectations of citizenship in a democracy, and advancing the tools of science. Our primary reason for selecting Sagan as an inspirational namesake for the school was his commitment to science, literacy, rational thinking, skeptical thinking, democratic ideals, and in general - making the world a better place.
