School Mission
- Since 1982, the mission of the Almaden Country School has been to discover the gifts in every child.
A gifted education is one that offers a traditional liberal arts and sciences curriculum in an appropriate developmental sequence. It includes strong academics, continuity and integration of curriculum, and broad enrichment programs. Academic expectations are high and with the guidance of superior faculty members, students learn and master the necessary skills to prepare them for life and the future.

Instructional Program Highlights
- DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION: Our primary focus is on each child as an individual. Curriculum is adapted and enriched to meet the needs of all students.
- CHARACTER EDUCATION: We define a competent student as one who understands factual information, has developed achievement skills, and has high moral character.
- SPECIALISTS: Each enrichment subject is taught by a specialist in that area. This allows core academic teachers to become specialists themselves in reading, math and history.

Parent and Community Support
- HIGH PARENT INVOLVEMENT: Almaden Country School recognizes the most important aspect of a child's education - parental involvement. The school has a very active Parent Service Auxiliary (PSA).
The mission of the PSA is to build a sense of community for the parents and children of Almaden Country School through financial support, professional resources and social activities.
