  • Dana School is located between the Nipomo Regional Park, the county library, and a community health center. We have a large, beautiful (but well aged) campus that is used heavily by the public. AYSO, youth basketball, a local church congregation, two 4H groups, Nipomo Recreation, and several other community organizations use our facilities regularly.

  • Gymnasium and physical education facilities: Dana Elementary School does not have a gymnasium--we do have a multi-purpose room--The Stallion Center. We have two spacious fields and three different playground areas. Our blacktop features three basketball courts, two volleyball courts, several four square courts and six tetherball courts.
  • Library facilities: Our library was recently moved into a new location--it is in rooms 13 and 14. We have new furniture and 12 Dell computers with access to the Internet.

  • Students also enroll by: We are a neighborhood school. All students (except inter and intra-district transfers live within two miles of campus. Kinder students who live more than a half mile from campus are eligible for busing. The only other students eligible for busing are "freeze and shuttle" students who are sent to Dana because their neighborhood school is full. Some special education students receive special busing.
