- The mission of Zane Middle School, an educational community rich with diversity, is to ensure that our students expand their knowledge and skills while enhancing their self-worth and personal responsibility within a nurturing environment that provides challenging learning opportunities tailored to the unique needs and interests of middle-level learners.

Instructional Program Highlights
- Zane continues to pursue academic excellence while encouraging a variety of activities that allow students to demonstrate and enjoy their newfound skills.
- Our EAST Lab (Educational and Spatial Technology), our music and performing arts classes, our science department and after school activities are just a few examples of the outstanding programs that Zane provides for students.
- The Zane staff, in conjunction with parents, has focused on becoming the premier middle school in northern California. To that end, all coordination is threaded through the lens of improvement of student learning.
- Zane students have fielded championship teams in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track as well as winners in History Day, spelling bees, Science Fair, and the Young Inventors Challenge.
