School Mission
  • Benchmark is a school founded by teachers who are dedicated to providing your child with a foundation for life. The teachers are willing to work as long as it takes until each child finds his or her rightful potential. We encourage excellence and strive to give the children skills that will never rust, tarnish, or go out of style... Knowledge is forever.

Instructional Program Highlights
  • Ratio between students and teachers is 15:1. This allows us to provide a solid foundation of knowledge that can be individually structured to optimize each child's potential.
  • Once a week children receive 30-45 minutes of instruction from a Specialist in Music, Art, PE, Spanish and Library.
  • There are two computers per classroom with Internet capabilities for individualized, self-paced instruction.We also have a computer lab with 30 computers.
  • The onsite library is staffed by volunteer parents who teach library skills.

Activities and Sports
  • Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: karate; dance; chorus; Oddessey of the Mind; sports (soccer, basketball, tennis, etc.) and scouts.
  • This school has the following art(s) programs: orchestra, theater/drama, art and chorus.
 
 
Parent and Community Support
  • Parents are involved at Benchmark through many committees involved with the Benchmark Parent Teacher Organization. They coordinate the Cultural Arts Program which brings many visiting artists to school. Parents are on campus daily as reading companions, library helpers, lunch time helpers, playground supervisors and art and music masterpiece presentors.
