Instructional Program Highlights
- Students must graduate with four years in all of the following areas:1) arts major, math (through calculus), science (through chemistry), foreign language, Soc.Sd. and English.
- ASA art's curriculum is taught by professionals active in the Phoenix arts community, i.e. Phoenix Symphony, Ballet Arizona, Arizona Opera, Phoenix Bach Choir.
- ASA students present semi annual academic juries to their parents and teachers.
- Classes are standrads based. Students must pass all essential skills and meet standards in order to pass.

- Clubs and extra-curricular activities include: International Thespian Society; Student Government; Yearbook; Mock Trial; Community Service Club and US Academic Decathlon.

- ASA Parent Committee is very active in supporting the school. The governing board for the school include includes a parent of a currently enrolled student and a parent of an alumnist.
Other news or notes
- ASA sophomores achieved the top AIMS scores in Phoenix. Based on these scores,our graduation placement into top college, univerities, and conservatories, and parent satisfaction surveys, the "Wall Street Journal" named ASA one of the top four public schools in Arizona. (WSJ, 5/4/01)
