In the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD), you have the option to attend your neighborhood school, a magnet school or a school with a special theme or curriculum. Admission to the magnet and special school programs is on a space-available basis.Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
